We shall not be liable for loss, injury or any damage relating to parts or machinery supplied by ourselves. All parts are covered by our suppliers & manufacturers standard warranties unless otherwise stated. Usually these will be for a standard 12 month period. All parts are only to be fitted by competent persons. You should examine all goods upon receipt. Products are not supplied on a trial basis.

Products, Pricing & Descriptions

Each product purchased is sold subject to its Product Description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible, the information, including Product Descriptions and Product Images, appearing on this website at a particular time may not always reflect the position at the exact time you place an order.

We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this Website or Catalogues at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this Website and Catalogues.

All prices are subject to change without notice. Prices are correct at the time of publication or upload to our website.

We are unable to process your order until your payment method has been received. We accept most major Credit / debit cards.

We try our very best to make sure all parts and accessories that are advertised on our website and in catalogues are in stock, ready to order. However, due to the nature of our business, dealing in a huge selection of parts, spares and accessories it is inevitable that some of our products can go out of stock very quickly. We stock 1000’s of items and it is sometimes very difficult to keep every item in stock at all times. We are sometimes dependent on our own suppliers to keep and deliver stock to us. The stock listing on any given product on the website is a guide, and not a guarantee that parts are in stock.

We do our best to ensure that all prices on our web site are up to date and current at all times. We do, however, reserve the right to withdraw a product from sale and cancel your order at any point if pricing is found to be incorrect.

Your order(s) will not be processed until your payment method has been received. We accept most major credit / debit cards, and use a secure payment site to take your payment (Sagepay).

Once you enter into an order agreement with us, you are agreeing to purchase the goods and allow Patrick Edwards Ltd to use the personal details given. These will only be used for the purposes of completing your order(s), this will include passing your details onto couriers and payment processors. All personal details are held in accordance with our Privacy Policy and can be removed from our system by written request.

The title of goods ordered shall not pass to you, the customer, until payment has been fully received and the goods delivered.

Suitability of goods you are purchasing is your responsibility. We will offer any information or advice available, so you can be sure the product is suitable. We are not liable if information given is incorrect to your application. If any product supplied is not used for its intended purpose, subjected to abuse or unreasonable use then the warranty on the goods will be void.

All orders are subject to the availability of stock when processing your order. Parts listed as ‘in stock’ on the website may be sold in-store, and thus be ‘out of stock’ when you place your order, but before the website is updated. For up-to-date stock information our store is open for telephone calls, emails, and general public visits and purchases Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm and Saturday 9am – 4pm, not including bank holidays and other public holidays. We close over Christmas and New Year and dates for these will be published near to the time.

Items that were purchased from the store can only be refunded from the store using the original credit/debit card.

Orders may be rejected as a result of one of the following:

- The product you ordered being unavailable from stock.
- Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment.
- The identification of a pricing or product description error.
- A system error – such as automatic confirmation making an error.
- You request delivery outside of UK mainland.

Out of Stock Items
If at the time of placing an order, an item is not in stock, we will inform you at our earliest convenience. When orders are received and agreed we will ship everything that is in stock.

Back Orders
Back orders are generated for any out of stock item that has been ordered. Back orders remain open for 4 weeks before being closed. As soon as out of stock items arrive with us they will be sent out without any additional shipping charges. However, after the 4 week period, we will notify you by either telephone or email that the order is cancelled due to stock unavailability.

You may cancel your back order at any time at no cost and with no penalty by contacting us via phone or email. Please note that if you do not cancel your back orders, they will remain an on-going order with us. When cancelling a back order with us please make sure you receive confirmation from us that it is cancelled.

Payment for all orders is at point of checkout. Orders are charged at the time of checkout and you will be charged for any out of stock items.

The title of goods ordered shall not pass to you, the customer, until payment has been fully received and the goods delivered.

All prices are plus VAT (where applicable) at the current rates, unless otherwise stated, and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery. You confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion.

We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product whether or not that product has been sold.

To be eligible to purchase products and lawfully enter into and form contracts under English law you must upon checkout:

  • Provide your real name, phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested information,
  • Stipulate a delivery address in the United Kingdom. Please note that PO box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not acceptable,
  • Possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us,

If your order is acknowledged online, you will be notified of this soon after you submit your order. Please note that as the acknowledgement is sent to you automatically, an error may have been made of which we are not aware despite our best efforts. Because of this, we retain the right to cancel the order.

We use Royal Mail, Parcel Force and Pallet Line, thus  all delivery dates and times given are only estimates. We therefore cannot be held responsible for delays by the courier / postal service or for any consequential losses you may suffer if the delivery is not on time for whatever reason.

Delivery times are calculated in working days Monday to Friday. For Parcel Force 24 hour deliveries, the cut off for next day delivery is 1pm Monday to Thursday. If you order after 1 pm Monday, the next working day will be considered as Wednesday and so on. Orders placed before 1pm Friday will be delivered Monday, and after 1pm Friday will be delivered on Tuesday.

Shipping charges are calculated on the website. You can find a guide in our ‘Delivery’ section. Any items we ship will be securely packaged for delivery based on what we are sending.

If your order is returned to us as ‘undelivered’ due to your own error (incorrect address details, etc),, you will be responsible for the re-shipping charges.

It is advisable to make sure someone is present at the delivery address to sign for the parcel. Once goods are delivered and signed for they become your responsibility.

Orders sent to a non-card registered address are sent at the customers’ liability, due to  the higher risk of a third party obtaining your order when sending to a third party address.

In some cases, we reserve the right to change the shipping option in case of certain items not being in stock. This will only be done where a cheaper delivery is necessary.

If in the unlikely event that your order is damaged or lost in transit, a replacement order will be issued. If we cannot supply an identical order we will supply a full refund.

-         UK Customers

Orders are usually dispatched within 1 – 3 days. Please allow up to 5 working days in busy periods i.e. Christmas. Delivery times can vary but as a rough guide please allow 2-3 working days for Royal Mail deliveries, 1 – 2 working days for courier deliveries.

In the unlikely event that your goods do not arrive within these times, please contact us via telephone or email to confirm your order has been shipped and that we have the correct delivery address.

Export restrictions
At present Patrick Edwards Ltd only sends goods within the UK mainland. We plan to add exports to our services in the future. If however you have a special request please contact us with your requirements before completing checkout.

Orders received from outside of mainland UK will not be processed, and we will contact you to discuss a full refund. In certain circumstances we may reserve the right to complete the transaction, but on explicit agreement that carriage above and beyond that purchased upon checkout has been paid in full, to cover transit to relevant address.

Cancellations and Returns

If, for whatever reason, you wish to cancel your order please let us know as soon as possible. Once an order has been dispatched we are unable to cancel. Please do not refuse to accept delivery of an order as a way of cancellation. If delivery of an order is refused the goods will be returned to us by our couriers. We will be charged for this return and we will deduct these charges, plus handling charges, from any refund amount.

Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have a statutory right to cancel your order and receive a full refund if, for any reason, you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase or the goods are faulty or damaged. You must notify us within 7 (seven) working days of receiving the Products. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging. If the returned items are not in a resalable “as new” condition a refund may not be possible. If items are missing from your order, please notify us as soon as possible.

You have the right to return any item ordered, for no reason and without penalty for a refund. This excludes special order items. If you are returning an item under Distance Selling, you are responsible for the return shipping costs.

If you wish to cancel a non-stock or special order item, this must be done before the order is placed with our suppliers. Non-stock or special order items that have arrived with us or are being returned will be subject to a handling charge of 15%. This does not apply to faulty or damaged items and normal stock items.
Returns are sent at your own expense. When returning items you are strongly recommended to obtain proof of posting. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit. We will only refund the costs of postage where the item returned is faulty or incorrectly supplied.
